Stop Seismic Testing
Did you know 3D seismic testing (explosive underwater blasting for oil or gas) is being planned for 500 square kilometres of our coast to find the best drilling targets for a gas field? (2/3 of our gas is shipped overseas.)
Did you know seismic blasts, which can be between 200-256 decibels, are fired every few seconds for 24 hours continuously for days or weeks on end?
Did you know that these blasts have been shown to kill plankton over 1km away, and can deafen, stress, injure and cause death in our precious marine life?
Please help us stop seismic testing to protect our precious marine animals and our living ocean, and save our coast - before it's too late!.

Australian Seabird Rescue Central Coast
Australian Seabird Rescue is a grass-roots community group with a passion for coastal wildlife rescue and conservation.
With branches along the coastline of New South Wales and sister-groups around the country, our strategic objective is to reduce the human impact on wildlife through rescue, research and education.
ASR Central Coast branch was launched in October 2005 at The Entrance NSW. We specialise in rescuing seabirds, water birds, shorebirds and marine reptiles. We cover the whole of the Central Coast waterways, beaches, lake & river areas from the Hawkesbury River right up to Lake Macquarie.
Can you help?
ASR Central Coast is completely run on a volunteer basis with 100% of all donations going straight towards the rescue & rehab of injured marine wildlife. We are totally dependent on the generosity of the public. All donations & assistance, no matter how big or small, are always very much needed & greatly appreciated.
